Tablet Case for iPad - Samsung: Free Crochet Instructions

Hey everyone,

Here is a new pattern for a tablet case. This pattern is intended for 9-10" tablets such as iPad, Samsung Note 10.1 and other tablets of the similar size.

A note about the yarn used to make the case:
I made three different cases. Two were made with Red Heart Supersaver yarn. The other was made with I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby. If you have experience with Red Heart Supersaver, you know that the thickness of the yarn is NOT consistent. Some colors tend to be thicker, especially the white and black. I will give you the instructions for each different yarn.

I used these particular yarns because they are very easy to find and purchase. Red Heart can be found at your local WalMart, Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Hancock Fabrics. "I Love This Yarn" is found at Hobby Lobby and can also be ordered online.

If you are using a different type of yarn, just measure as you go!

Instructions:
F Hook

Red Heart Supersaver BLACK (thicker) - CH 74. SC in the second chain from the hook and then across the row. CH 1 and turn. SC across the next row. Continue to do this until you reach 28 rows.

Fold the piece in half and then SC the sides together. Tie off and weave in the ends.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Red Heart Supersaver BURNT ORANGE (thinner) - CH 80. SC in the second chain from the hook and then across the row. CH 1 and turn. SC across the next row. Continue to do this until you reach 32 rows.

Fold the piece in half and then SC the sides together. Tie off and weave in the ends.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I Love This Yarn (all colors) - CH 76.  SC in the second chain from the hook and then across the row. CH 1 and turn. SC across the next row. Continue to do this until you reach 30 rows.

Fold the piece in half and then SC the sides together. Tie off and weave in the ends.

Here is a picture of the finished cases.
