I am making several crowns today for my granddaughter's first birthday party tomorrow. So, I decided to write the pattern and post it for free.

I made one slightly smaller to fit her head securely, but this pattern also fits her. I discovered that once the crown stretches, I can wear it too! So, theoretically, it will fit toddlers thru adults.

Materials
:

H Hook (Clover Soft Touch hook)
Yarn: I used "I Love This Yarn" Sparkle yarn

Pattern:

CH 53 and join the chain with a SS to form a circle. Be very careful not to twist your chain.

R1 - CH 2 and HDC all the way around the chain. Be careful not to twist the chain while you are working. Join the two sides with a SS.

R2 - CH 1 and SC all the way around. Join with a SS.

R3 - Skip the first stitch and DC three times in the next stitch. CH 1 and SS in the stitch directly below (see the picture below). Then, DC two more times into the same stitch that already has three DCs (see picture). Skip the next stitch and SC in the next stitch. Continue to make the crown points with *three DCs, CH 1, SS, two DCs, skip one stitch and SC in the next stitch* all the way around. You should end up with thirteen crown points. At the end, join with a SS and tie off.

Weave in the loose ends and turn the crown right side out.

And that's it! These are very easy to make and really quick....... Have a super sparkly day!
