Crochet Flip Flop Tutorial
Crochet:

Dress up your old or new flip flops with some crochet embellishments! All you need is a $1 pair of flip flops, some scrap yarn and a crochet hook.

For this tutorial, I use the following supplies:

Red Heart Super Saver Yarn
H Hook (my personal favorites are the Clover brand)
Scissors
Flip Flops (I bought this pair at Dollar Tree when they were advertising Fourth of July items)

Turn This:

Cheap $1 Flip Flop

Into This:

Make your own crochet flip flops.

Step 1:

Tie the yarn onto the strap and SC all the way around. When you get to the “toe” section, just work your way over to the other side by skipping over the toe strap. When you reach the end, CH 4 and turn.

Step 2:

Make the ruffle by using a CH 4 and SS into every other stitch. Do this all the way around the strap until you reach the end. When finished, tie off and you are done.

Finishing:

You may want to work the yarn around on the strap to “fluff” out your ruffles………. Then enjoy!
